Outlook Rules in Outlook 2007

I have created a read folder and an unread folder. I would like new messages, I receive in my inbox, to automatically copy to the unread folder from the inbox. I would also like my messages to move to the read folder after I read them. Please help!! I am searching for employment and I receive so many emails daily, and my inbox is a bit overloaded.. Thanks in advance.
