Rules for Personal folders not working

I need to set two rules as,

1. Any mail that is from <name1> irrespective of the domain should go to folder1
Ex : (e-mail address removed) and (e-mail address removed) should be moved to
folder1

2. Mail from any other person from @company.com domain should be moved to
folder2.

Remember, both folder1 and folder2 are under my Personal Folders.

I wrote a filter for this as follows,

1. when a message arrives, if sender's addres contains "name1" move it to folder1
2. when a message arrives, if sender's address contains "company" move it to folder2

But outlook is copying the same mail in both the folders even though I have given Move.

Please help me in resolving this issue.

Thanks & Regards,
Prakash

Add "stop processing more rules" to the end of rule #1. That should prevent
rule #2 from acting on any message from <name1>.

I have already tried this but forgot to update this in the thread. I tried adding "stop processing more rules" option for my second rule and it worked for this case but I have another problem. I think it will be better if I give my full requirements.

Basically I dont want any of my incoming mails to reside in the server. So I want to move all my incoming messages to one folder or the other under my Personal Folders. I know that I cannot write rule for all my incoming messages. So I had some filters out of which the two that I already mentioned resides. And finally, any mail that does not satisfy any of the rules I just wanted to move it to a folder called "myinbox" under Personal folders. Assuming my above two filters are filter1 and filter2, I have my filter settings as follows,

1. filter1 (for name1_v)
2. filter2 (for the domain company)
3. if to or cc contains my name, move it to Personal Folders -> myinbox

If I add "stop processing further rules" to filter1 and filter2, it should work. But when I added, it was anyway keeping a copy in all the three folders (folder1, folder2 and myinbox) since the mail from name1 satisfies all the three rules.

Does this mean that "stop processing further rules" is not working?

Kindly help me out in resolving this issue. Let me know if my requirements are unclear.

Thanks & Regards,
Prakash.

It would seem as if the "stop processing" is not working in this case, since
if it was working, the message from <name1> would have only gotten as far as
rule #1 -- then it should have been moved to folder1 and nothing more should
have been done with it by the Rules Wizard.

Have you tried deleting these rules and recreating them?
