Rules don't seem to be working OL 2007 Vista Business

I have set a rule to permanently delete e-mails with certain specified words
in the “subject†and “subject and bodyâ€. However, I still get many e-mails
delivered to my junk folder containing the specified words that should have
triggered the e-mails to be permanently deleted. If I run the rule on the
junk folder once they have arrived they are deleted, but I wanted to avoid
having to manually run this rule 2 or 3 times a day. Any ideas or suggestions
please?

Rules are processed *after* the Junk Mail filter has moved messages and only
against non-junk messages.

Why? Well, you don't want that spam message that just happens to match a
rule to fire off an auto-forward.

Best solution? Ignore the problem. It isn't a problem. If you really want
them deleted, shut off your junk mail filter.

Many thanks for your reply.

So really I have to run the rule to remove the e-mails from my junk folder
when they build up? 30 + a day....

Not at all. Enable autoarchiving on the Junk E-mail folder and configure it
to delete instead of move the messages to another folder.
