rules -all new emails go where they're supposed to & where they're

Been cleaning out and organizing inbox today. Did something stupid with the
rules and now all new emails go where they are told to go, but a duplicate
copy goes to one particular folder.

How can I make that stop?

I think what I did earlier was something with Run Rules Now - I selected
everything and ran all the rules - then every single email showed up in the
'newsletter' folder, so I deleted and cleaned up some more. So everything was
back to normal - EXCEPT for all new emails going to both places.

Any help would be appreciated!

Add a "stop processing' condition to the rules - then it will move the
message and stop looking to see if other rules apply, which causes outlook
to keep a copy in the inbox.
