Rules & alerts showing as (For other machine)

Bob

G'day

I've rebuilt my PC recently and introduced a home network renaming my
system.

In Outlook 2003, all my rules now show as

- Rule name (For other machine)

The rule description looks fine, ie

Apply this rule after the message arrives
sent to xxx or xxx
and on machine ony (??)
play xxx
and move it to the xxx folder
and stop processing more rules

But the problem is the rules don't work and I can't find a way to make the
rules apply to the new machine. I know I could lust delete them annd
re-enter them but there are around 80 and I hope there is an easier way.

Over to the experts for advice.

Thanks
Bob

i have discoverd a way to get them to work.

firstly you must start microsoft office then go to the rules and alerts dialog
then click on the top bar and select options and click on export rules you then sould save the file.

then back in the rules and alerts dialog delet all the rules and alerts.
finally click on the options again and this time select import rules and select the file you saved a moment ago and you should have all the rules back without the
"(for other machine)" written next to them.

hope this helps
