Rules & Alerts help needed.

Hi all,

I have setup a mailbox on exchange called "service"

Granted delegate rights to "al" (me)

sent test mail from my gmail account to "service"

opened outlook on my computer (not server) added "open other mailbox"(as
"service")

immediately got the test msg from gmail.

replied to test msg by clicking on reply (strange that huh?)

reply msg in MY sent items.

trying to create a rule to copy any msg sent on behalf of "service" (as
shows in msg header) by "al" to the Sent Iems folder in the "service" mailbox.

Is this possible? If so, how? If not, why not?

TIA

Al

You could possibly do this by creating a special copy of the Mail form with
its own name....then you can use a 'after sending' rule to process messages
used by that form...perhaps keep it in the inbox of the 'service' mailbox and
try and get it set as the default one for the inbox so it will always be used
for new messages ... you can even code in the 'from' address that way to save
setting it every time.

Thanks for your help, but can you dumb it down to a step by step process for
an outlook newbie (me) ?

Thanks

Al
