Rule question

Hi,

I got a question regarding a rule I'm trying to implement.

I've setup a user with an additional smtp email address on exchange.
I'm trying to create a rule that checks this new smtp address when mail
arrives and moves it over to a new folder I created for it.

Unfortunately, all email is ending up in this folder.

Can this be done?

Thanks,
JG

Do you use the Exchange Server?
Did you set up the 2nd SMTP as a secondary SMTP for
the same Active Directory Account?
If the answer to the above is yes, then any mail addressed to the
secondary account will authenticate to the Primary SMTP and
it will not be distinguishable from the main (Primary).

Thanks, I figured that out the hard way.

I've just created a new user account for this person.
(the other thing is it would have been hard to email and respond using that
secondary smtp address with the one account).

Thanks again.

However, now with the other account, you could configure
it to deliver all mail to the original intended account. This
would keep the SMTP intact, and you could use the rules
to sift through and sort as desired.

Please post the exact set of rules this person has (masking any real mail
addresses, of course).
