rsh gives rsh: shell/tcp: unknown service error

We have a number of users using rsh as a part of an excel
spreadsheet without any problems under windows 2000, XP
and win 98.

One of the users is getting the error message
rsh: shell/tcp: unknown service

I saw a posting to compare the C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32
\DRIVERS\ETC\services file with another where rsh is
working. I rename the old services file to services.old
and copied from a windows 2000 system where rsh is
working. Still the user gets the error message.

Any help is appreciated.
