RPilot is an interpreter for the IEEE-standard programming language
PILOT. PILOT is a simple language that was developed in the 1960's for
use in computer-assisted instruction (CAI). RPilot supports much of the
standard, and has some extensions of it's own. It is written in ANSI C,
and is licensed under the GNU General Public License.

For instructions on downloading RPilot, go to the downloads page. After
that, instructions on installing can be found on the install page.

More information RPilot (message boards, voting, etc) can be found on
the project page.

Lastly, to learn the basics of PILOT, check out the user's manual.

So... some time ago (this is April 2004 as I write this), I wrote a new
version of RPilot with a new parser, interpreter, etc., but never
released it. Naturally, this version was lost to disk failure (still
happens). Turns out to not be a huge loss, since the new RPilot wasn't
very conformant to PILOT standards, anyhow.

I would like to redo RPilot again, this time with proper PILOT
standards support. There is actually a push to create a new PILOT
definition &emdash; RPilot could be a part of that.
