Routers/Hardware firewalls

Has anyone had any problems with their routers just shitting out? I have had
to swap about 4 routers now and I still keep losing my internet connection.
I have everything to auto config and have an intermediate understanding of
software and hardware. So I'm not completely clueless but i was wondering if
i keep missing some minute detail that makes a huge difference.

Not sure what kind of problems your are having, but having owned four devices -
Dlink, Netgear, and Linksys without ever a problem My Linksys four port router is
over two years old. Like anything else, make sure the device has some airflow - not
packed tightly in a cabinet, etc. You might have a problem with your modem or
broadband connection. Even though I would think the wall warts would provide some
overload protection, you may want to try a quality surge protector/line filter such
as the Isobar line [instead of the five dollar jobs at Walmart]. --- Steve
