Router woes

F

figurt

Hello there

Im trying to connect a buffalo airstation g54 to two pc's and a cable
modem (Ntl uk if it helps) all connected by ethernet.

the problem im getting is that i cannot access the internet when behind
the router. I can see the other pc, and transfer files though. I have
reset the router, and cable modem, even updated the firmware of the
router, but no joy.

A week ago, i had the same router running off one pc, (and the cable
modem connected to it) and the other pc was connected wireless-ly. this
set up worked perfect for over a year. Im a bit clueless now, have been
fiddling with the router for the past 4 hours! any help would be really
appreciated.

Aloha (e-mail address removed),

Cable modem is connected by wire to the WAN/Internet port on the Buffalo?
If you go into the Buffalo's configuration utility can you see what IP address
has been assigned to the Buffalo by your ISP? When you try to access the
Internet what happens; what error message(s) do you get?
