Router-to-Router VPN question

I am new to VPNs and have a question. I have installed (2) Linksys
RV042 VPN Routers ---one at SiteA and one at SiteB. The goal is for the
XP computers at SiteB to have access to files on the Server
(Win2003Server Std Edition) at SiteA. Both sites have Static IPs from
the ISP.

I have read the Linksys Router help guide for establishing a tunnel.
From which end should I setup a tunnel, or do I set a tunnel up at each
end?

Once the tunnel(s) is established, do computers at SiteB, then have
access to SiteB just as if they were on the network at SiteA--they can
just browse Network Neighborhood?

Do the users/computers at SiteB have to be added to the domain at
SiteA?

Thanks.

1. You should setup a tunnel in each site.
2. After establishing the connection, they should be able to ping each other. However, to make network browsing work, it is better to setup WINS server.
3. In most cases, you don't need to join the domain. What you may do is using domain username to access the domain resources.

Thanks for replying.

1. Do you ping the Static IPs or is there another IP address related to
setting up the tunnel? If you did not have Static IPS, how could you
ping test the connection?

2. Where is WINS Server setup--in the TCP/IP properties of each PC at
siteB (or the server at SiteA) and what settings are you referring to?

I will read the links you sent, they may answer these questions
--thanks

We will likely map network drives to the server.
