rounding problems

i know that excel is known to be more accurate than
lotus.. but here is a problem..
when dividing numbers where the sum has a decimal with
many digits to the right.. well for my reports we only
show one decimal.. so when trying to figure out the
variance between the two cells it ends up rounding to a
number that looks very wrong... ie: on the screen and in
print you see 6.2 and 6.3 so when dividing.. instead of
reading (.1) it might read .3 or something.. because the
true values of 6.2 and 6.3 are lets say 6.27993998 blah
blah blah.. is there a way to to keep the digits to the
right as one and have the variance look correct.. (even
if the truth of the variance is probably closer to what
excels figures)
