Rounded Edges on a Text Box?

B

Bill

On PPT2000, how can I format a text box to have rounded edges, instead of
squared edges?

Also, same question for inserted images - how can I round the edges?

Thanks!

Rounded rectangle text box is an Autoshape available through the "AutoShapes" menu (near the lower left had corner)

After creating the rounded rectangle, select "Format" | "AutoShape..." menu item, in "Colors and Lines" tab, select "Fill Color" -> "Fill Effects..." menu item, in the "Picture" tab, select the picture you want to place in the autoshape. The picture will take the shape of the AutoShape

And just in case you didn't know, almost any AutoShape (including rounded
rectangles) can have text. Right-click on the shape and choose Add Text
from the menu.

And another thing..... a lot of autoshapes have a little yellow control marker... that when moved, changes the look of
the autoshape, for example the rounded corner autoshapes, can have little rounded corners or large corners (almost to a
quarter circle)

Does that work in all versions of PowerPoint? I seem to remember that not
workng some time ago, but now I have newer versions, so I can't check in
which version it didn't work.

In PPT 97 and on for sure; not certain about PPT95 and prior (but not real
worried about it either <g>)

It doesn't work for certain shapes (freeforms, for example)
