Rivarts.A gone

Rivarts.A trojan has plagued me for several days, but after running the
3-27-06 definition of AdAware it's gone.

At least Windows Defender (the only program that detected it) is no longer
detecting it.

The detection logic has changed--so that finding the registry entries (which
ARE characteristic of both the infection and the preventative strategy) in
the absence of the executable--isn't flagged.

So--yes you are no longer seeing the detection--and that's ok, because what
you were seeing was not the real infection.
