Guest

I have intel LOMs on my workstations.I try to setup RIS but it keeps
recieving errors discussed in article# 823658.I even tested win2k3 sp1
RC1;even that was useless.

I need 823658 patch ;but I can't get it directly from microsoft. Can anyone
here e-mail me that patch (preferably windows 2000 patch)?
thanks.

Hi again Terrence and thank you for your regular replies.

as I searched throughout Intel,Microsoft and Gigabyte and didnot find a
solution to my problem,I'm begining to suspect that I've encountered into a
new problem not discoverd by anyone so far.actually I had many email sessions
with Gigabyte (the company whose motherboards with LOMs are widely used in
our organization and RIS has problem with these LOM);but they insist that
they have not had any similar complaints from any other customers;nor their
simulations in their Tech-Support lab resulted in the problem I face.

so I want to know if there is any way to put my RIS server in Full-debug
mode, get a comprehensive and exhaustive log,and then send the log to Windows
Developement Team of Microsoft.

sincerely
Sasan

How to enable debug mode for Remote Install Servers
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;236033

If you intend to open a case with Microsoft, they may have you use other
tools to collect data. Maybe call and see what they need before putting
your machine into full debug.

Hi again Terrence and thank you for your regular replies.

as I searched throughout Intel,Microsoft and Gigabyte and didnot find a
solution to my problem,I'm begining to suspect that I've encountered into
a
new problem not discoverd by anyone so far.actually I had many email
sessions
with Gigabyte (the company whose motherboards with LOMs are widely used in
our organization and RIS has problem with these LOM);but they insist that
they have not had any similar complaints from any other customers;nor
their
simulations in their Tech-Support lab resulted in the problem I face.

so I want to know if there is any way to put my RIS server in Full-debug
mode, get a comprehensive and exhaustive log,and then send the log to
Windows
Developement Team of Microsoft.

sincerely
Sasan
