Right-clicking causes Windows Explorer crash

J

Jim

Hi i am having troubles with right-clicking on things.
Everytime i right click on anything related to Windows
Explorer i get this message:

'Windows Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to
close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.'

Oddly, it doesn't happen with other browsers such as
Internet Explorer or Mozilla. I am running Windows XP SP1.

Please if you can help in any way i would appreciate it
very much as it is really annoying!

Thanks.

Jim,

This might be caused by a third party application you have installed that
adds an entry to the context menu. Did this just start happening? Did you
recently install any new applications? If you don't have too many
applications I would suggest trying to uninstall them one or two at a time
to see if one of them is the culprit.

Depends on which MS product you are talking about. :)

I don't think that this issue will cause explorer to crash though.
