Right-click, Properties not work in folders for WinXP

Anyone seen this?

Windows XP Pro, Service Pack 1 - right-click on a folder
(any folder) and select "Properties" - and nothing
happens? Any ideas what is wrong / how to solve??

Any help appreciated!

Sorry I can't offer any suggestions as I just had a
similar thing happen except in my case right clicking on
any desktop file or file through explorer brings up a
dialog box message "Failed To Load Product Info File".
Cannot even empty the trash except through the disk
cleanup option in accessories. When right clicking, there
is no longer any context menu options, only the above
mentioned error, followed by all icons disappering
temporarily. I'm looking for help on this too....Any
suggestions/advice would be appreciated.
