Right click problem-vercslid.exe

T

Tri-Pacer

As soon as I right click on the desktop my computer displays an endless
hourglass. Using task manager I determined that vercslid.exe is causing the
problem. If I end the process I can right click the desktop and the normal
window appears as long as I leave task manager open.

If Task manager is closed, as soon as I right click the desktop,
vercslid.exe opens and I have the endless hourglass again.

Any hints would be appreciated

Thanks

Paul Anton

If I'm not mistaken, this is a problem that has crept up as a result
of the latest Windows IE update. Google for it to be sure.

When MS comes out with the fix on the 25th, will it be necessary to do
anything to the temporary reg fix before we do the patch.

Hi,

I agree that it appears to be a update issue.

You may experience problems in Windows Explorer or in the Windows shell
after you install security update MS06-015
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/918165

Let me know if you still have concerns.
