rich text won't work in subform

Hi and thanks for all the great advice I have already received from this group!

Here's a new question. I have a form with a memo field that I want to be
rich-text editable. I set the text format on the field in the underlying
table to rich text, and on the form based on the table I also set the
property for the text box that contains the memo field to rich text.

Everything works great when I am just using the form itself. The problem is
that its main use will be as a subform on another form. When I access it
through the second form, it won't let me make any rich text edits (tho rich
text edits made previously are preserved and displayed.)

Any ideas??
Thanks,
Kim M.

Hi Kim,
that's the way it is with rich text in A2007. It doesn't work in access
subforms, although you can use Ctl+B for bold and some other common
shortcuts.

Ah well -- at least I know now and won't waste any more time trying to do the
impossible. :) Thanks!
