reverse text without using word art

Graham, you always offer this link when this question comes up, but it
doesn't address the question until the last line, where it says it
can't be done in Word.

The last line of the page refers to the possibility that some printers have
a built in function for creating iron-on transfers?

It is the *first* line that says Word has no ability to do this. The page
shows a work-around and was prepared *because of* the frequency with which
the issue arises.

I don't read it that way at all, though it is far from explicit. In the
early part of the article, Graham says that converting the text to a picture
allows you to flip or rotate it; he just doesn't have any screen shots of it
flipped. A caveat, though: text converted to a picture never looks
completely "natural." It's better than trying to get WordArt to look like
ordinary text, but it's still not entirely convincing. To flip an entire
page of text, using the printer's setting is preferable. For small amounts
of text, it may be worthwhile to find a mirrored font and type the text
backward. For years I've used a mirror font to produce the backward R in
Toys "R" Us.
