Retrieving list of Favorites....

I have re-booted my computer and re-installed Windows. Before doing so, I
downloaded my files onto an external hard drive. How do I retrieve the pages
I kept via the internet and saved in my Favorites folder?

The favorites folder of your user profile is located here:

C:\Documents and Settings\{USERNAME}\Favorites

Copying the .URL files (that you backed up earlier, to a removable drive) to the above location will suffice.

Hi Ramesh,

I'd already checked "Documents & Settings" in C drive and found that the
Favorites folder was empty. That's what prompted me to ask you guys for help.
Any other suggestions will be greatly received :~)

Kind regards.

Please re-comprehend the answer given...

"C:\Documents and Settings\{USERNAME}\Favorites
Copying the .URL files (that you backed up earlier, to a removable drive) to

In other words - you had to have backed up the folder above (C:\Documents
and Settings\{USERNAME}\Favorites) before you re-installed Windows XP. Then
you can copy from the backed up version of the folder to your current
folder. If you did not back up the given folder before re-installing
Windows XP - well - you have no backup so nothing to restore from.
