Restricted Access

I have an HPcomputer with Windows XP. While installing a
new software program, I received an error message: "Your
user account for Windows was created with restricted
access to system resources. This will prevent this
software from operating properly. Please contact your
system administrator and ask him or her to grant you
standard user rights."
Can someone advise me who my "system administrator" is
and how to contact him or her, and any other pertinent
advise. What is the significance of restricted versus
standard user rights? Thanks.

Is your user account an Administrator or Limited account. If Limited,
something you can check in User Accounts in Control Panel, you need to log
on in an Administrator account to install applications.
