I have a 10gig partition for XP and it is now full. I have a 10gig
unallocated space contiguous with this on my hard drive. When I attempted to
resize the partition I got PartitionMagic error 1513 (which is not an easy
one to resolve) and the resize failed.
I have backed up XP to another partition and would like to reformat the
existing "C:" partition so that I can then make a 20gig partiton and restore
the system. Obviously this wouldn't work because I would not have an
operating system when I wanted to restore.
I wondered if the original XP instal disk would give this facility, or is
there another way to resolve.
To restate. Combine the 2 x 10 gig disk spaces in a situation where the
existing 10gig cannot be resized because of the "1513" error.
Help please.
Thanks.
