Restoring address book from backup, Outlook Express

A

Andrew Stucken

I recently exported my address book from Outlook Express to Outlook.

I have now gone back to Outlook Express, but find that my adress book has
been emptied.

Lukcily I do have the .wab file backed up and can run it as an EXE file if
need be , but for convenience I would like to copy it to the C: drive so that
adresses show up in my contacts again.

However using the 'copy file' option in My Computer does not seem to result
in the addresses appearing when I click Tools>Address Book in OE.

Am I doing something wrong please?

I don't know what you did, but exporting OE addresses simply does not do
what you describe. Moreover, the better way to move contacts from OE to
Outlook is to import them in Outlook.

Huh? A WAB file has the extension ".wab" and you can never "run it as an
EXE". What do you mean?
