Restore Point Question

My hard drive is partitioned into C,E,F&G with C as the bootable drive
.. D is a second hard drive.

The other day I installed a new Application ( Nero DVD Burning S/W)
onto the E partition .

Subsequently I had occasion to undo some over enthusiastic Registry
changes which I did by reverting to a previous Restore Point - a
restore Point which pre-dated the installation of the Nero
Application. The Registy editing was unconnected with the Nero
Application but had caused a problem with my DSL connection .

The Restore Point change solved the error to the Registry and to the
DSL connection but what interested me and the reason for this post is
that , to my surprise , it did not affect the Nero Application even
though the installation of this was done after the new Restore Point.

Would this be due to the fact that Restore Points only affect the C
drive and have no effeect on anything installed on other partitions ?

I'd say that System Restore isn't monitoring the G drive. You can
tell the system whether or not to monitor a drive in My Computer |
Properties | System Restore. Click a drive and then click Settings.
