Hi,
Symptoms:
Your computer restarts by itself.

In case you don't have the virus yet: (if you do - see
below)
A) Update windows
1) Connect to the internet.
2) Run Internet Explorer.
3) Choose Tools \ Windows Update
4) On the page that loads choose "scan for updates".
5) After it finishes figuring out what you should
download, choose "Review and install updates".
6) Install what it recommended and restart when asked.
B) Update Anti-Virus
1) Update your Anti-Virus software.
2) Scan your drives and handle all viruses found, if
any.

In case you already have the virus:
1) Start \ Control Panel \ Administrative Tools \ Services
2) Right click on "Remote Procedure Call (RPC)" and
choose Properties (NOT "Remote Procedure Call (RPC)
Locator")
3) Go to the Recovery tab
4) Change the three first entries from "Restart the
Computer" to "Restart the Service"
5) Choose ok
6) Now your computer won't restart all the time and this
will give you enough time to do the instructions above
("In case you don't have the virus yet...")
7) Remember to change the three "Restart the Service"
back to "Restart the Computer" when finished.

actually how this virus gets into the system? is it when downloading or
simply once online, if no firewall or a/v software installed, it can sneak
into & create havoc?
