I seem to have the opposite problem of most messages I have read.
I recently lost my hard drive and had to reinstall XP Pro on a new drive.
The new drive was larger than my BIOS would recognize, so I flashed the BIOS
at the same time. Therefore, I don't know exactly where this problem lies
but I have been unable to resolve it with any obvious settings.
After the flashed BIOS and the reinstall of XP Pro, when I click on
Start|Shut Down|Restart, the computer shuts down nicely and then powers off
instead of restarting.
I am at a loss. Does anyone know of any settings in XP Pro or BIOS settings
that I can check to rectify this problem?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
