Restart from Task Manager - Question

I seem to remember Windows XP Home Edition would reboot if you pressed ctrl-alt-del twice. The first time the key combination
brought up Task Manager and the second time started the shut down sequence.

I've upgraded to SP1 and now find that pressing ctrl-alt-del a second time will not restart the system. Can anyone out there with a
good memory confirm or deny my recollection?

Clicking ctrl+alt+delete in my XP HE when the iShell (desktop) is active only brings up the task manager no matter how many times I click it. Now on a welcome screen or when going into safe mode double clicking the ctrl+alt+delete will initiate the old style logon screen. For more information on hot keys and configuring them any way you want go>start\help and support and then type in Hot Keys in the upper left and click the little green arrow to the right of that line and then read read read. Have fun. :~)

I think that you're not remembering correctly. For example: Win 3.x, Win9x
and ME will restart the computer with Ctrl+Alt+Del pressed twice.

WinXP: Ctrl+Alt+Del or Ctrl+Shift+Esc will bring up the Task Manager. From
there, you would use the Shutdown menu that appear in Task Manager's menu
bar.
