Resource Planning using Outlook

Hi,

I am planning to have a resource planning tool in outlook.

The aim is to have a common team calander, where in resources can mark their
plan for vacations and this should trigger a mail to the supervisor (and
others like HR) requesting for approval. With the team calander in the
supervisor's desk, he has to make decision, say approves and this should
trigger a mail to the resource (and others like HR).

This approved vacation gets highlighted in the calander and other resources
can plan accordingly.

Is it possible to bring in such add-in to outlook. Is there any available
add-ins supporting this. Please help me out on this.
