resotre deaktop folder in administrators group user's profile

my xp professional systems collapsed, and can't be recovered, and I
reinstalled the same system on D drive,and I need retore the desktop folder
in the oringinal system's user's profile.but i started the new windows xp,and
can accessed most of the files, except the desktop folder in the original
system on C driver's Documents and settings, it showed " access denied", How
can I restore this folder?
