resize large quicklaunch icons?

Shawn

A friend of mine has run into a little problem; he
accidentally moved his taskbar to the right side of this
screen and then moved it back to the bottom. However,
since this happened the quicklaunch icons (IE, OE and
minimize to desktop, along with a couple others) are now
quite large and I am unable to find the controls to
resizde these down to a normal size (which was quite a
bit smaller). Plz help!

Hi, Shawn.

Right clcik the Taskbar - to the left of the divider - and in the drop-down
menu select View/Small Icons.

(Clicking the same side as the Sys tray will bring up a different menu.
Easily done)!

Good luck.

Just want to add one more point. The Taskbar needs to be unlocked to show
the separators of faint dots, in double columns, on either side of the Quick
Launch Bar. It is the separator Lt. of the QLB that needs to be Rt.
clicked.

The size of those icons is set by the same setting as the ones in the
system tray by the clock, and the 'close, maximise, minimise ones of
each window. At Control Panel - Display - Appearance, click Advanced,
click on the close button of the illustration, to get Item - Caption
buttons, and adjust its size. Ok, and Apply on the way out. Choose a
size reasonably related to the basic 32 size for an icon (I use 24; 20
might also work well)

To change between large icons and small icons in the Quicklaunch area of the
Taskbar,
First, make sure you have chosen to display the Quicklaunch area, then,
1) Unlock the Taskbar
2) Right-click on the gripper just to the left of the Quicklaunch area until
a popup menu is displayed which has "View" at the very top
3) Click on "View", then choose between small or large icons
