I lost(can't remember it) my signin password for Windows XP, is there a way
to bypass the signin screen or reset the password?

menu screen select safe mode, enter xp as administrator, once in xp,edit the

Windows XP what?
- Home?
- Professional?
- Tablet PC Edition?
- Media Center Edition?
- x64?
- Other?

If Windows XP Home - booting into Safe Mode and logging in as
"administrator" with a blank password (no password) usually works unless you
were wise enough to set the password for the user "administrator" (most do
not even know this user exists - especially in Windows XP Home Edition.)

If Windows XP (any of the others above) - When it gets to the welcome screen
(assuming a Welcome Screen logon) Press CTRL+ALT+DEL twice in a row to get
the classic logon and put the username as "administrator" (sans the quotes)
and the password as blank (no password at all) - which usually works unless
you were wise enough to set the password for the user "administrator" <- but
again, many do not knw the user actually exists until now.

If neither of those things works for you - you can Google (or even Google
Groups) search for "Windows XP Reset Password Boot" and likely find several
methods.
