Below is my question and the response from Stefan. I can change the settings
but can not save them. What am I missing. I want to permanently change
these settings for each time I open Word.
You can do the following to change the default font in Word 2007: In a new,
blank document, press Ctrl+Alt+Shift+S to display the Styles pane. Click the
Manage Styles button. On the Set Defaults tab, specify the desired settings.
In particular, change the "Spacing after" to zero. Before clicking OK,
select "New documents based on this template." If/when you are prompted to
save the Normal template, choose to do so.
