Resetting a C900 or C1900 Epson Laser photoconductor cartridge

In June 2005, I raised the matter of Epson's infamous negation of
recycling with regard to the photoconductor unit in the C900, C1900
Laser series. Nobody seemed to know how to reset the unit.

Well, the spirit of magna carta is not dead. Some bright spark has
cracked it and is selling his knowledge at a reasonable price on ebay.

Good luck - I've done it and, instead of pensioning off a perfectly
good unit and having to pay 60 or 70 quid, I have a perfectly good
unit for a few pounds.

God bless the man

Here's the answer for nothing!!

I just replaced the 20mm 3.15A fuse under the two metal contacts underneath the Photoconductor Unit. Cost about £2 for 10 from Maplin. Sorted. Only slight issue is the Epson Status Monitor still thinks it's full/run out - prints fine OK though.
