IE7, perhaps?

I encountered the same problem when trying to print Outlook messages
containing html and images. No problem with text messages.

It is interesting to note that I had just "Detected and Repaired" Outlook
2003 after it had undergone yet another of it's frequent problems, with which
Microsoft refuses to take any responsibility - unless paid to do so.

I am running the latest version of IE7 as well.

If you enter the error "res://ieframe.dll/preview.dlg" into the Outlook help
query box, you will get this advice:

"If you receive a message that you are using the wrong version of mapi32.dll
or that the file is corrupted, you might have installed other messaging
software after you installed Microsoft Outlook.

When you see this type of message, you can fix it by running a program in
the Microsoft Windows System folder.

To run the program to fix this problem, in C:\winnt\system32 or
C:\windows\system32, double-click Fixmapi.exe."

Needless to say, the "fix" does not work, even after restarting and trying
again.

I suppose the school solution is to format the hard drive, upgrade the
processor and memory, and then wait until Vista and Office 2007 come out...
Can anyone tell that I am more than a little ticked off here?

Sure would be nice to hear of someone having success solving this "issue."

Uninstall IE7 would be one solution. Trying the new IE7 RC1 released last
week may be another.

Hi Brian,

Yes, removing IE7 did the trick.

Things like this explain why Firefox is becoming so popular so quickly. Sad.

However, the IE7 version you were using is a BETA release that is bound to
have bugs in it. When IE7 becomes the official released version, chances
are that many of the bugs like that will have been corrected. And obviously
you didn't try Firefox while _it_ was still in a beta state because it was
full of bugs as well.

Check your printer.
With me Dymo Laberwriter as default printer gave the problem. As a switched
back to a HP Laserjet the problem was no longer present

Bad idea! It's like;
"I cannot get into my house"
"Always leave your door open"

Also, the OP was printing from Outlook and not from IE like you. You're
better off asking this in an IE newsgroup.
