Repost - Using a Parameter query in a mail merge

Hi. I posted this a few days ago in General Questions, with no response.
Thought Id try again here.

Ive successfully used command buttons to call up mail merge documents, based
on queries, many times. Now Ive designed the query to include a paramater but
the window asking the user to enter the parameter value opens up behind the
mail merge document window. Is there a way to get it to open over the
document window?

Thanks, JohnB

Thanks for the reply.

Im not sure code is relevant here - theres nothing odd in the way Im doing
this.

I have a command button that is set up to open an Application, with a
Hyperlink address to the Mail Merge Main document. As I say, this works
perfectly well on those mail merges that are fed from standard queries - I
have quite a few in my database. But now that Ive introduced a parameter into
one of the queries, the Word Application opens with a blank screen and only
by minimising it can the user see the little window asking them the queries
parameter question. On answering this, the merge proceeds - after opening the
Word window again, that is.

So you see, I dont think that coding is the issue. Its just that the queries
parameter window opens up first, then is instantaneously overlaid with the
Word window. I just wondered if this is normal, or whether I can get the
parameter window to open on top of the Word window, so that the user knows
that a question needs to be answered.

Thanks again, JohnB
