How does one remove broken hyperlinks from a report. If a file has been
deleted and no longer exists, and the page itself doesn't show a hyperlink,
how can it be removed from the hyperlink view and the broken hyperlink
report? I imported the home page from our existing intranet web into a
practice web. The page imported without the hyperlinks showing on the page,
but they show on the hyperlink view, as well as the broken hyperlink report.

Recalculate hyperlinks and then rerun the broken hyperlink report.

The page will have hyperlinks on it, unless you have deleted them from the
page, or your company web only has one page in it (unlikely).

Look in HTML view for <a href=" This marks the start of a hyperlink.

Tools->Recalculate Hyperlinks will update the reports and Hyperlinks view.

Thank you Ronx,
The hyperlinks are broken because when I imported the homepage to a new web
on a stand alone machine the links did not come with it. The problem is that
the hyperlink view still shows the links as broken as does the broken
hyperlind report. The home page does not show the hyperlink, so I cannot
delete them from the page. The html view shows the hyperlinks being there. I
even deleted them from the html view, recalculated the hyperlinks, and they
still show up in the report and hyperlink view. Is there another way?

If the links still show in reports and hyperlink view, the hyperlinks are
still on the page. You may not have deleted all of them.
Are the broken links links to images? These would show in Normal or Design
view as boxes with a red x in the corner.

I do not really understand why the page is not showing the links.
Can you give an example of one of these broken links being reported?

ron,

Try Publishing it from the intranet to your practice web, instead of Importing it. Then try the recalculate hyperlinks thing. I've never used intranet but I know that when you Import somethings don't.

Thanks guys,

I finally got it. I had not deleted the hyperlinks directly from the page.
When I did my problem was solved.
