Reports doesnt work access 2003

Hi

We are having this strange problem with one user on our network - reports
does not work in access. If the user creates a new empty database, clicks
reports, create report in design view, nothing happens. This is only the
case for this specific user, and only on one pc. If the user logs on to
another pc, using the same roaming profile, reports work fine. If another
user logs on to the specifik pc, access and reports works fine.

It's some strange combination of the user and computer that results in this
error. We have tried entering and exiting sandbox mode (by changing the
macro security level), but still there is no change.

Did anybody experience something like this before? Is my only option to
delete the users profile and hope that solves the problem?

Open the Immediate window (Ctrl+G), and enter:
Application.Printers.Count
Application.Printer.DeviceName

The first should give a number of printers. If there is not at least one, it
won't work. The second will tell you which printer Access will currently
send to. Again, if there is no printer it won't work.

Sometimes where you are using a network based printer, Access may not be
able to see it even though other programs can print to it. Since Access uses
the metrics from the printer driver to format the report, it is unable to do
anything with the report if it believes no driver is installed.

Reinstalling the driver for the network printer and checking that Access can
see it usually solves the issue.

Thanks a lot for your help - it lead me in the right direction. Access could
see the printer, but it seems the driver for the default printer has some
problems. When I set another printer as default printer reports worked
again. Now to see if another printer driver solves the problem.
