Reply in Outlook

Product Outlook 2007 on XP SP2
I clicked on reply and began writing my response. I did not click send. Yet
in the middle of the process You replied on .. popped up in the (still open)
email.

We checked sent items - no message had been sent. We restarted Outlook
making sure there was no outlook precess running in the task manager. The
replied message is still there.

If this is not a bug then it is a NOTABLE feature. Please advise.

Bob the sysadmin thinks this is not the problem . We tested it again and 4
minutes after clicking the reply button the 'you replied..' message popped
up. However it is specific to my machine.

If Outlook is saving drafts automatically as you compose messages, or if you
manually save a draft, the infobar will show that you sent or
replied/forwarded, even though it hasn't actually happened yet. The time and
date will be updated when you actually do send, though.

I am trying this but the replied was there even after we shut down outlook
and restarted it. If this fixes Thanks and thanks anyway.

I'm not sure what you mean about "the replied was still there". Where did
you expect it to go? If you hadn't finished the reply yet and had not sent
it, where is that message -- in Drafts or somewhere else?

On the Infobar? It's going to stay there once autosave kicks in. Even if
your never send it.
