Is there any way to define exactly which partitions are replicated within a
site link?
We have a forest root (site A) and 2 child domains (one in site A, other in
site B). Replication has always worked ok with no errors, even though site B
is behind a firewall, and we replicate over IPSEC to it.
I recently added a 3rd child domain (site C), which now insists on trying to
replicate the partition of site B (and vice versa) which it does not have IP
access to. This is causing the DS event logs on DC's in sites B and C to
fill up with KCC errors 1311 and 1566, effectively saying not enough
connectivity is being published.
I created explicit site links which only include the sites I want to
replicate between, and this indeed did cause the replication links to show
correctly in Sites & Services, i.e., there is no <automatically generated>
link for site B is site C, or site C in site B. I also turned off the
'Bridge all site links' option, so my explicit site links should be
definitive, but they are obviously not.
Anyone got any idea on how to stop sites B & C trying to replicate their
partitions???
Thanks
