Replace function!!!!!!

I have 3 worksheets that are linked to a file somewhere on the network
drive. The 3 worksheets contain period name i.e. May which I would
like to change everymonth. Currently I highlight the 3 worksheets and
use the replace function to change the period every month i.e. from
April to May.

As this procedure sometimes take too long, Iam thinking of creating a
month list on a separate worksheet and thinking that once a month is
selected it would authomatically replaces the month in the 3
worksheets. Has anyone got an ideal how this may work using macro or
any authomated form?

Hi,

This is how I would do it:

1) make new sheet with a cell containing the current period name
2) on the 1st worksheet overytype the first mention of the period (e.g. May)
with "=" and then click on the worksheet and the cell that contains your
current period name.
3) copy that formula
4) seach and replace the period name (e.g." MAY") with this formula
5) now you just have to change the cell on the new sheet containing the
current period name and all other references will update.
