Repeated Reactivation of Programs

Seems to me over the past 6 months or so I have had to reactivate installed
programs repeatedly, more than ever before. I get a dialog box stating that
significant changes in my computer's configuration have been detected, blah,
blah, and I have to reactivate programs, including Adobe Photoshop CS,
Macromedia Flash and Dreamweaver MX, Norton Systemworks, and others.

My machine is heavily patrolled by NAV (auto-protect on, full scan every
night), anti-spyware, Norton Win Doctor, etc., and there don't appear to be
changes occurring or any other bad behavior. Is this just SP2 doing its
obtrusive thing?

Activation of Microsoft Products usually occurs when changes are made to the
system configration.

Norton's sometimes needs to be reinstalled, when the original installation
was not 100% successful: it appears to function correctly and then every now
and then throws up the activation issue.

Make sure that when and if you install new applications, that you disconnect
from the internet and disable the Anti-Virus and Firewall. In some instances
these prevent certan registry entries being completed properly - don't ask me
for the specific details.
