Repeated Password Logon Requests

Outlook 2003 repeatedly asks me to logon to get or receive email. I have 5
accounts. If I delete the account it does this with then I have no problem.
It logs on the server and downloads/uploads mail for all the accounts. But if
I put the (e-mail address removed) account back it starts asking to logon and will not
do anything for that account. But, it will send and receive mail for all the
other accounts. The popup asking for logon happens every few minutes for the
past week. It also happens if I set that account up in Microsoft Mail. But on
my other PC and my other laptop there is no problem. Those logon
automatically and download with no problems. Running VISTA with SP1. The same
problem used to happen in the past but would stop within an hour or so. Now
it seems to be permanent.

What is your send/receive interval? With 5 accounts, it should be no less
than 15 minutes, and even longer is better.

Thanks for the reply. First let me say that I have found that I can go for
months with a problem and then is will happen for a few minutes and then go
away.

However, this time it was my fault. I'm embarrassed to say that when the
problem first occurred I kept misspelling my password. Worse was that when I
deleted and reentered the account I again spelled the password wrong. I
finally figured it out yesterday when I went on Verizon's webmail and noticed
the misspelling.

So everything is working fine now and I can live with the every few months
problem. There are some Knowledgebase articles out there on this problem,
usually attributed to a registry problem, but I've never been able to resolve
it no matter what I did. But, as I noted, if it only happens every 6 months
or so I can live with it.

Thanks again for the reply.
