Repairing RDP

I have a user who had a malware infestation. Got it cleaned out, but the next
time we went to connect to him over RDP, the strangest behavior ensued. I
would put his computer name in, it would connect. The logon box would pop up,
we would enter the correct credentials, then it would kick out of the window
completely. After the third time, we got an error message saying there was a
network problem preventing connection. Oviously, the RDP has been damaged.
What is th epreferred method for fixing it? Do I have to go througha complete
repair installation? Is ther some tool?
Thanks

If you are still seeing the effects - it isn't clean and/or you would be
better off starting from scratch.
