Repair Internet Explorer

I have not been able to view any links off my People PC homepage for several
days, it keeps saying Internet Explorer could not find the address entered.
If I type in a www address it goes just fine. People PC tech support
suggested I repair Internet Explorer thru the Add/Remove programs option, but
when I go there, it does not list Internet Explorer in the list of programs.
I run Windows XP on a Dell PC. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you sure it's not there - have a look at the button labeled ADD/REMOVE -
"Windows Compnents" - you'll find IExplorer there.

Note you should probably uninstall -anything to do with IE to make sure you
get rid of most of it. eg. OUTLOOK express.

Note you should back up your e-mails and your Favourites folder before
starting.

Try a IE newsgroup eg microsoft.internetexplorer.general.
