Reoccurring Update Doesn't

I have a problem as a reoccurring meeting request
recipient. If the originator reschedules one of the
occurrances and sends out an update, my calendar does not
update when I accept the update (as "tentative"--I don't
know if "accept" works differently or not). The update
that shows up in my Inbox appears with the new date/time,
but warns that the update is out-of-date--that a newer
update has been sent. However, no other updates are in my
Inbox. When I accept the update as tentative, nothing
changes on my calendar, and the reply that gets sent back
to the originator appears with the original meeting
date/time, not the updated date/time. I am using Outlook
2002 SP3. This is driving us crazy. Any help would be
appreciated.

What happens if you use the Accept option?

After furious head scratching, BTJ asked:

I will either 1) try this the next time I get an update
for an existing meeting request, or 2) set up an
experiment with several of my coworkers to see if we can
replicate. Stay tuned...

In the meantime, if anyone has any insights into this I
would appreciate it.
