[?]Rename Shell Folders

How do I rename Shell Folders?

Can I just rename the Folders found at
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell
Folders] and then navigate to the folders location and give it the new name
which I entered in the registry.

To what end? The Reg_Sz sting values in;
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders
are dynamically altered according to the Reg_Expand_Sz strings found in;
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders

directory.

* You'll probably need to reinstall the operating system to accomplish this.

* AFAIK can't be done> The \system32 folder is hard coded into the core OS.

As long as you create a \winnt folder on the partition before the install,
then Windows 2000 will allow you to select a different folder name for the
install.
