removing Win 2000 Pro

I have an office computer with windows 2000 pro. We have
removed it from the network and i am trying to delete the
current operating system and install windows XP Pro and
keep it as a back up. Since the computer was on a network
environment it prompts for a password when you boot the
machine. Is there any way to override this or can some
tell me how I can access DOS to format the machine and
begin the process again.

Boot from the WinXP CD and remove the partition, recreate it, and install.
