Removing Watermark?

I have a word document that has the word DRAFT on each page. It is very
faint and in the background. I believe it is a watermark.

This word doc was created years ago, Office 97 maybe?

We use Word 2003 now, and when I select Format, Background, Printed
Watermark, No Watermark is checked.

How do I get rid of this thing?

In Word, click on View | Header and Footer, click on the "draft"
watermark to select it, press the Delete key to delete it, and click on
Close.
